Monica Fenderson is the Founder and President of MOSA Design Studios LLC, which was founded in 2009 and is located in Grayson, Georgia. Before working with working for herself she was a Building Plans Examinar with Gwinnett County for 11 years. Monica also worked with renowned architecture firms on many multimillion dollar projects such as the Atlanta City Courts, Atlanta Public Schools Office and Dekalb county Juvenile Courts, Flight saftey Atlanta and many airport projects throughout the nation,

In her capacity as a Building plan examiner, she approved and monitored new commercial projects for construction in the Building Plan Review Department. Her role with Gwinnett County, one of the fastest growing counties in the United States, (in the the 2000's) Monica created procedures for the  building department  to ensure code enforcement within her department with building Inspectors, Contractors, and Design Professionals.  Due to the fast pace environment associated with Gwinnett County and its diverse population, Monica’s versatility, critical thinking and patience enabled her to work in the field and be informative to the Directors, Board of Commissioners and provide them with the appropriate technical assistance which was needed in implementing new policies in zoning, building methods, and code standards.  

Today as an Architect, Mrs. Fenderson reviews construction documents for proposed commercial and multifamily projects with a strong emphasis on the evaluation of architectural, plumbing and mechanical components, systems, and specifications for compliance with State and County codes and ordinances and for conformance with technically sound engineering principles, for CVS, Walmart, Emory University, and more. Monica prepares technical reports to document code noncompliance items applicable to plan review of construction projects. She confers with and assists design professionals, contractors, developers and the general public regarding code interpretation and specific code compliance/deficiency issues. Collaborating on a daily basis with Planning, Development, Environmental Health, Water and Sewer department is instrumental in implementing procedures to streamline the Building Plan Review Process.
